NEW! Makerspace: Design Build

July 20 - July 31

Session 1

Einstein once said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” For two weeks, we are hands on, minds on in a program that gives campers the freedom to imagine, design, and build. Campers will engage in innovative thinking and constructive problem solving. We will think about local and global challenges that the world is facing today and how we can create solutions that will improve our experiences. Working as both solo designers and in collaborative teams, campers will tackle several mini-making challenges will require brainstorming, problem identification, and solution design. The larger build project will challenge campers to work cooperatively in a group setting, use their skills to design and build prototypes, receive and provide feedback based on their tests, and adjust their designs to build their perfect solution. Thinking creatively, cooperative learning, design, testing, and healthy competition are all a part of Makerspace: Design Build this summer!.
