Downhill Derby

Do you feel the need for speed? Downhill Derby is just the place for you!!

Downhill Derby

July 20 - July 31

Session 1

Summer at Park’s own “Indy 500” continues its yearly tradition at the “Lars Andersen Speedway” where everyone gets a turn at driving for a winning team, and everyone gets pit crew duty. Team members work together on auto design, scale model building, and full production of a speedster ready for an epic day at the races. Events include push-start trial runs, outdoor games, and visiting an auto museum. However, the highlight is Race Day, when the entire camp will be cheering on the competitors, as each team competes in a series of downhill races to determine the Summer at Park Downhill Derby Champion. Ladies and gentleman, start your engines!
