Our 13th season of off-campus explorations will take you from Amusement parks to Zoos, and everywhere in between! Want to skydive indoors? Haul a lobster trap? Paddle a kayak? Drive a go-cart? Every day, we'll visit fantastic destinations in and around Boston including Water Country, Cedarland Adventure Park, Treetop Adventures, Plymouth Harbor, and the Boston Harbor Islands. Some trips also allow time for a recreational swim in Park's heated outdoor pool. To reach their destinations, Daytrippers are transported via a comfortable, air-conditioned coach.

Program Director

Kara Fonseca - 15th summer at Park

A member of Park's P.E. Department since 2001, Kara also coaches soccer and softball. Before making her way to Park, Kara ran a day camp in Lexington for two years and also worked in Brookline's Pierce School Extended Day program. She holds a B.S. from Colby-Sawyer College.

Paul Newmark - 16th summer at Park

Paul, a moderately illustrious matriculate of Boston College, has been a mainstay on the Park campus since 2001, when he first signed on with Summer at Park.  He has been a member of the Park School faculty since 2010, and now teaches grade 3, and is also a member of Park's afterschool program team.  He spent a year teaching English in a tiny town in France, to which he hopes one day to return.  In the meantime, Paul spends his days writing, cooking, reading, eating, wandering, and wondering.
