Written and Illustrated by…

Tell a story. Create a unique character. Fabricate a world of words and illustrations that come to life in your own book fit for the shelves of a library or a bookstore. Through creative and fun activities, Written and Illustrated By... campers will practice the craft of storytelling and learn the basic steps of bringing a story to life. We'll play illustration and storytelling games to stretch our creative minds.In the Park School library's newly updated space for making, exploring, creating, and play each camper will make "mini" books containing their own characters and stories then write, illustrate, and hand-bind their own hardcover picture book! Visits from local authors, field trips to libraries and publishing houses, and campus-wide adventures provide hands-on experiences that will create unlimited possibilities of our stories. This is the perfect blend of art, imagination, and literature. Bring your ideas and let's get creative!et creative!

Elyse Seltzer - 12th summer at Park

Elyse received her masters in Library and Information Science from Simmons College and her BA in music from Wheaton College.  She is the newest member to the fantastic Park School library team as the Upper Division Librarian. Elyse loves that being a Librarian allows her to use her creative mind everyday. When not in the library Elyse loves to read, sing, and travel.
