Tell a story. Create a unique character. Fabricate a world of words and illustrations that come to life in your own book fit for the shelves of a library or a bookstore. Through creative and fun activities, Written and Illustrated By... campers will practice the craft of storytelling and learn the basic steps of bringing a story to life. We'll play illustration and storytelling games to stretch our creative minds. Each camper will make "mini" books containing their own characters and stories then write, illustrate, and hand-bind their own hard cover picture book! Visits from local authors, hands-on demonstrations, and campus-wide adventures will expand the possibilities of our stories. This is the perfect blend of art, imagination, and literature. Bring your ideas and let's get creative!
