Did you ever wonder how to thread a sewing machine? Sew on a button? Make a strap for bag? Design the stuffed animal of your dreams? Join us in Sew & Tell, a camp tailored for students interested in sewing. We will learn the basics of sewing, including needle threading, sketching designs, finishing seams, and how to use an iron. Campers will also have the chance to try some design through sketching ideas and turning them into reality…while making all of the choices along the way such as fabric color/pattern, accents, buttons, and more. The first week will be by hand, the second week we will explore the possibilities of sewing with machine. The camp will result in several carefully made items designed by campers to take home to use or give as a gift. Come and sew with us!
